Mother and Child

Photographed this morning.

The fawn and its mother came back this morning and settled down in the meadow, in the typical "facing away from the center," defensive position.

  1. I never realized they do that. I thought of you on Thursday - came across some deer in the canyon. Luckily, I was able to snap a couple of pics.

  2. When there are more of them, it is more obvious. Also, a really young fawn wouldn't be doing this.

  4. Today is rainy and a couple of deer were just settled down, as the rain fell on them.
