Deer On A Winter Afternoon
Photographed yesterday afternoon.
This small doe had the meadow to herself for foraging. There just isn't all that much left after the freezes, so the deer are spreading out when they look for food. I saw at least one companion down the street.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have such amazing surroundings.

Thanks, A. I feel lucky.
ReplyDeleteIt does look a bit thin.
ReplyDeleteToo bad deer don't eat bird seed. Or maybe it's a good thing.
Shanna, the weather's much milder now. I expect that some more green stuff will be growing.
ReplyDeletefrom what I've read, the deer have preferences in food, but will eat even the "deer-proof" plantings if they are hungry enough.
She's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteShe is. And camera-friendly, too.
